The day that any black belt, no matter what rank he is, realizes what the ultimate truth is – and it’s actually peace – that’s when they become a black belt.
Hanshi Frederick S. Buck
On his show, Cardoza looks at business and politics from a neutral perspective rather than a far left or right stance. His background in business, including a PhD in International Finance from the London Institute of Technology and a 16-year career with Revlon Corporation, gives him the knowledge and authority to make sense of economics and the political world. Cardoza also features guests from other fields.
Hanshi Buck was on hand at the Masters Hall of Fame to receive a Platinum Award for Lifetime Achievement. The Masters Hall of Fame was founded in 1999 and is recognized as one of the premier Martial Arts events on the West Coast. The association recognizes exceptional martial arts leaders and legends through induction into the Hall of Fame.
Kyokushin Karate is a style of stand-up full-contact karate developed by Yong I-Choi, who later took the name Matsutatsu Oyama. “The founder our system called it kyokushin,” explains Hanshi Buck, “and the translation of kyokushin is ‘the ultimate truth.’ The day that any black belt, no matter what rank he is, realizes what the ultimate truth is – and it’s actually peace – that’s when they become a black belt.”
